Some Examples of Jtec’s Customization:
A customer was seeking a cart to improve the ease of movement for a wide range of aluminum extrusion lengths. One part of the request was to minimize the number of cart sizes without hindering the ability to move these various lengths/sizes of extrusions. It was determined that two sizes would accommodate most of what needed to be moved. The customer requested several custom features for the carts: a mechanical bi-directional capability for both versions of the 50×100 cart, unique risers to allow for bundles to be banded while on the carts, toe-guards on all casters, and more. The cart has a 3,000 lb. weight capacity.
Secondly, this custom cart was designed to accommodate various sized dunnage up to 30′ long, and can be connected to form trains of up to 4 units. Its versatility lies in its modular design, allowing for seamless integration of parts of different lengths. The linking mechanism, employing a simple T-pin, facilitates swift assembly and disassembly, eliminating the cumbersome bolt-on brackets of the customer’s existing carts. Equipped with fixed casters at the center of the train and swivel casters throughout, the cart ensures smooth maneuverability even when connected. This unique configuration enables the cart to spin effortlessly while maintaining a linked formation.
Lastly, one customer wanted a cart that could be manually pushed but also integrated with their autonomous mobile robot (AMR). The AMR maneuvers underneath the cart, effortlessly lifting it off the ground for smooth and quiet transportation. In addition to the other benefits of autonomy, this significantly reduces noise and maximizes the life of the casters.
This cart has a spacious deck. It measures 50″ x 50″ and has a robust weight capacity of 1500lb. Featuring bolt-on flared corner captures, the cart ensures secure containment of materials during transportation.
